One day, Da Shuan went on a business trip for his fellow villagers and had to stay in a hostel in town. He booked an economical quintuple2 room without a washroom. To his happy surprise, there were no other guests when he went in. “ I paid for one bed, but got a whole room for myself,” he said to himself, “ Pretty good luck!” he stripped off 3 all his clothes and was soon fast asleep.
The naked man woke up at midnight, for he had to urinate4. Slipping off the bed, he opened the door and ran straight to the washroom outside. But when he returned, he found himself in a bit of trouble: the door had been shut in the wind and the built-in5 lock had locked him out. He was taken aback6, groaning7 to himself: the key he had got on a deposit from the service desk was in his pants pocket! How could he get back in?

The wind in the corridor was rather cold. He stood there holding his arms, but was soon shivering. “ No. I’ve got to get the attendant to open it for me.” He started to walk toward the night-shift8 room where she stayed on call, only to realize he was completely naked. “No, it won’t do. If I knock on her door like this, she will be scared when she sees and will stream. She will think that I am a hoodlum9 or rapist10.”

Halting his steps, he stood still again and continued to shiver. It was cold enough to freeze him to death if he waited until daybreak. “ I’ve got to find a way out,” he said to himself. There, with the help of the corridor light, he saw some black ink and a Chinese writing brush on the service desk. He thought for a second, then loosened his eyebrows: “I have a way out now!” Immediately he started walking toward the service desk, from which he picked up the writing brush, dipped it in the Chinese ink and drew a circle around his waist and one on each thigh, thus creating the shape of a pair of underpants. This done, he headed confidently for the attendant’s room and knocked on her door.
The near-sighted11 girl was yawning and rubbing her eyes when she opened the door. Da Shuan turned around as he told her that the wind had shut him out and he wanted her to open the door for him. The girl glanced at his clothing and, without a word, followed him to his room. After opening the door for him, she said. “Your underpants looked very springy12. Where did you buy them?” “Well...”

裸睡的下场

　　村人大栓，养成了裸睡的习惯，且常向人夸耀其中的妙处：入睡快，解乏舒坦。

　　一日，大栓进城为村人办事，住招待所。经济房里有五个床位，虽然没有洗手间，但只有他一人住，心中窃喜：掏一个床位的钱却独住一个单间，运气不错！遂脱光衣服上床睡觉，很快入梦。

　　半夜，酣睡中的他被尿憋醒，匆匆下床开门，赤身向厕所跑去。回到房门时，发现大事不好：房门竟被夜风刮得关上了，而且暗锁从里面将门锁死。他大吃一惊，不由暗暗叫苦——昨晚入住时掏押金租来的房门钥匙在裤兜里，这如何进得去？

　　走廊上夜风很凉，他托臂站了一刻，就打起哆嗦来。“不行，得去找服务员开门。”他向女服务员住的值班室刚走几步，才猛然意识到自己光着身子。“不行，这样去叫门，女服务员开门后必然会吓得大叫，以为自己想要耍流氓或图谋不轨。”

　　他只得停下脚步，在走廊里打哆嗦。但夜风太冷了，如此等到天亮恐怕要冻僵。“必须得另想办法。”他自自言自语道。他借着走廊里的灯光看见服务台上有墨汁、毛笔，心中一动，眉头舒展：“有了！”只见他走到服务台前，拿过毛笔，蘸了墨汁，在腰上画了个大圈，在两个大腿根上也各画了个大圈。这样，一个裤头的轮廓便显现了出来。而后，便理直气壮地去敲服务员的房门。

　　近视眼的女服务员打着哈欠揉着眼睛拉开门。他急忙一边背过身去，一边说门被风吹关上了，请她开门。女服务员看了一眼他的装束，没说别的，便随他走到房间门口为他开门。门开了之后，女服务员说：“你内裤弹性挺好，是在哪里买的？“这个……”
